Exploring Osage Beach

We are happy and excited to give our renters some great information about the state of Missouri and the area of Osage Beach. Osage Beach is not a place of sand and water but rather the name of a small town.

Osage Beach resides a little bit south of the center of Missouri. Located in Camden and Miller counties, this town is considered the “Heart of the Lake of the Ozarks.” Interestingly enough, the town’s name was Zebra before it was changed to Osage Beach in the mid 1900’s. Today the city has a population of a little over 4,000. Tourism here is quite high with a average of over 100,000 people visiting during the summer weekends.

The Osage Beach City Park is a 92-acre park that is surrounded by both the Lake of the Ozarks and the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. It’s the largest state park system in Missouri and a beautiful place for you to spend your vacation. You’ll find playgrounds, fishing, baseball/softball fields, and more here at the park.

If you are thinking of bringing your golf clubs along with you on your Missouri vacation, you could spend a day at the Oaks Course. This course is quite scenic as it was carved out of the natural forest landscape and Ozark terrain. Beware though, the many hills here, although picturesque, do add another degree of challenge to your golf game.

Bringing your kids with you to Missouri and Osage Beach? They are sure to have a blast at Timber Falls Water Park. Located in the Tan-Tar-A Resort, this three-story indoor water park is the only water park in the area. With its tree house theme and many water blasters, your family is sure to have a great time. Even if you aren’t staying at the Tan-Tar-A Resort you can still visit Timber Falls Water Park for a day of family fun.

Another exciting thing to do around Osage Beach is to check out the Lake of the Ozarks. This beautiful lake offers you a chance to get a Osage Beach boat rental or Osage Beach jet ski rental for time out on the water. You can stay in a bed and breakfast, inn, motel, or spend time outdoors at one of their campsites. Not only can you spend time boating, but you can explore nearby shopping, state parks, restaurants, caves, museums, coffee houses, and more.

We hope we’ve been able to paint you a picture of what you’ll find when you head to Osage Beach, Missouri. If you need a boat rental or jet ski rental, contact Surdyke Yamaha in Osage Beach, MO. We look forward to making your visit at Osage Beach a great one!
